Have a master but don’t have a deck to get it to your editing system? We can transfer video to our hard drive or yours. Our tape to hard drive transfer service saves you time and money by freeing up your editing equipment. We transfer video files to/from hard drive in most of the popular file formats including Apple Pro Res, AVI, Quicktime and H264. With both Kona and Blackmagic video cards Horizon Media Express can take care of most file transfers and output video files to High Def and Standard Def tape formats, DVD, Blu-Ray disc and hard drive.

Closed Captioning Services

You're looking forward to seeing your program broadcast but first closed captioning needs to be encoded into the video. To better serve the Orlando and Central Florida production community we now offer closed captioning for commercials, PSAs, 30 and 60 minute programs. Your program is transcribed, closed captioning is added to the video signal and in about a week you are broadcast ready.

Pre-recorded USB Drives are a popular method to distribute marketing and sales materials in a convenient and usable format. What a great tool! Why not utilize our USB Flash Drive Duplication (jump drives, thumb drives, pen drive) including your custom logo printed on the drive itself. Now video cameras and editing systems use digital video files and many video facilities do not have videotape players. We’ve been providing production support and transfer services for 20 years. We have most of the old and new tape decks along with several Mac and PC workstations. Whether you need to transfer one video tape or fifty years of history to digital format, Horizon Media Express is equipped to handle your needs.

We support most professional and consumer formats such as ¾”-Umatic, D2, 1”, Betacam, Beta-SP, DigiBeta, DVCAM, MiniDV, XDCAM, DVCPRO-HD as well as VHS, Hi8 and Betamax to mention a few. All in all, we have 23 videotape formats available in-house to transfer your archival footage to digital video files for viewing or editing. Do you have 8mm or 16mm film reels? No problem, we are able to assist you with these formats, too.

Archival Services

When it comes to archiving professional video tape formats several options are available. The best option depends on how you plan to use the archived videos. Legacy tape formats including 3/4"Umatic, Betacam, and 1" can be transferred to digital tape formats such as DVCAM or DVCPro. Tapes can also be converted to digital video files and archived on any of several data storage devices. Our video department is equipped with most of the High Def and Standard Def formats used over the last 25 years including XDCAM, DVCPRO-HD, HDV, Digi-Beta, Beta-SX, Beta-SP, DVCAM, DVCPro, DVCPro-50, MiniDV, SVHS, D2 and more. Need to convert professional format PAL tapes to NTSC and then archive the video? We utilize a broadcast quality standards converter to transfer Beta-SP, DVCAM, DVCPro and MiniDV PAL to the NTSC format used in the United States or convert to PAL for export.

Videotape To DVD Transfer Service

Preserve your treasured family memories by transferring video tapes to DVD. We can transfer most consumer tapes including VHS, VHS-C, MiniDV, Hi8, Digital8, 8mm and Betamax to DVD. Want to edit your family videos? In-house editing services are available or we can transfer your tapes to almost any editable file format for editing on MAC or PC.

After your video tapes and films have been transferred to DVD you may want to order additional copies. DVDs make great gifts. Unfortunately copyrighted material including television programs can not be copied or transferred to DVD. If you do not own the copyright, it is illegal to make copies.
